Spring Blizzard 2016
I have a love hate relationship with spring storms. Love when I can play in the snow without a coat the next day. Hate the shoveling and the fact that it’s spring time and I’m longing for flowers and green trees and grass. On Wednesday, March 23 we got a lot of wet heavy snow in Thornton, a total of 22″ in my yard.
We had to dig out in the cul-de-sac so Bry could get in the driveway. The neighbor went a little crazy with his digging.
Bry had to fill up the bed at the end of the cul-de-sac when he got stuck. But it helped him get up the street.
Roddy couldn’t get enough of the snow! He loves it! Look how cute he is, he’s shaped like a heart. hehehe
With every spring storm you need a snow sculpture right! This is one of the ways I LOVE to play in the snow! With Bry’s help (thank you babe!!) we start building a pile of snow, 6 feet high and about 4 feet wide.
Then I start carving, shaping and smiling!
Three hours later, I get this.
There is some joy in a spring blizzard. Get out there and PLAY!
Tomorrow my granddaughter will be visiting us. We’ll be sculpting some Minions. WooHoo!
