Art time with Alyssa
I love spending time with my granddaughter and her mommy. We all love to create, imagine and have fun! Today we decided to paint rocks. Remember the days of pet rocks. Haha I do. It was back in the 1970’s. Why would anyone pay $3.95 for a rock with instructions when you can do it yourself. Anyway, Alyssa loved the idea of painting rocks. She loves rocks and even collects them. Sounds like someone I know. Hehehe! Mine are a lot larger then hers. We went out in my back yard and selected several rocks. As she went along looking very carefully at each one deciding what she’d paint on it. If it didn’t meet her standard she tossed it aside. “This one will be a ladybug, this one a football, this one a bird”…. I stood in awe, at how carefully she was to pick the perfect one for each art piece she’d create.
Here is what we created!
Alyssa was much faster at it the Audrey and I. She painted six of them but only finished four. The paint was taking too long to dry. Audrey painted a owl and a cute blue funny face. I painted a funny face and a kitty for Alyssa. She loves kitty’s. We had so much fun! Here are a few close-ups.
So what are you waiting for! Go gather some rocks and start painting!
